Ah, Friday. How I love you. What better way to celebrate than to reflect on a few things I learned this week.
Lesson #1: When my husband travels, it’s not the doing it all on my own part that’s hard. It’s the doing nothing on my own part that’s hard. Which leads me to…
Lesson #2: Getting peed on by Little in the shower is far better than getting peed on right after the shower. The first shower, that is.
Lesson #3: Don’t waste time (years, I tell you!) and money (lots, I tell you!) visiting allergists and dermatologists for your kids’ eczema. Use CeraVe. It worked miracles on Little within days. I kinda want to kiss our pediatrician, but chances are she already has a restraining order against me.
Lesson #4: Big’s right. The song Hello, Goodbye really is fun to listen to again and again and again. It’s a great lesson in opposites for Big. And even Little can sing along to most of it.
Lesson #5: Childproof locks don’t just protect your kids. They protect your stuff. The one on our kitchen cabinet—you know, where the trash can is—is broken. And so far this week I’ve found a bowl, a pair of socks and a plastic golf ball in the garbage thanks to Little helping me “clean up”. Can’t help but wonder what I didn’t find!
Happy Friday! May your weekend be peaceful, accident free, silky smooth, music-filled and safe.
CeraVe has saved our life! 🙂 It is our personal pot of gold!
I meant to include a personal apology in this post for not listening to you when you mentioned CeraVe to me recently. (Well, it wasn’t really that I wasn’t listening so much as completely forgot until my doc mentioned it and then I said, “Oh yeah, my brilliant friend Julia swears by that stuff.”) My loss. From now on I bow down to you and your motherly wisdom.
