Ok, so I don’t usually get all blog businessy on you, but I did want to let you know about a couple things that I’ve been dealing with in case you’ve noticed things being a bit, well, off in discovering my posts lately (on FB or by email). If you haven’t, skip ahead to the fun on Yahoo! Shine and Disney Baby.
First of all, Facebook. Oh the Facebook games. As I’ve written about before, Facebook has decided to limit the number of “fans” who see each post I share on my Using Our Words page. A lot of bloggers I know have found “tricks” to expose more people to each post. One of them is putting the link to the post in the comments instead of as the main post. I was trying this for awhile, and it worked. Rather than 80-some people (out of 600+ fans) seeing my posts, 200+ were seeing them. But I heard that FB users were finding this really annoying. And the last thing I want to do is frustrate any of you lovely people who take the time to read.
There is a solution for those of you who like to read regularly (you know, my favorite kind of reader). Over in the right hand column, there’s a subscribe box. Simply enter your email address and check your email to confirm that you’d like to get updates when I post. Which leads me to the next piece of news…
I’ve changed email subscribers. While my new service is great, there were some technical glitches in transferring my subscriber list. It seems to be fine now, but I apologize if you’ve been missing out on emails or have received a couple notifications that I was making the change. Sigh.
And now, for some great reading around the web:
Our family’s resolution for finding the good in each day is HERE on Yahoo! Shine.
Pink’s going for BLING on the basketball court, and has a new HAIRDO that has all of us gushing.
Pink and Little have been THICK AS THIEVES lately.
Gymnastics? Um, NOT REALLY in Pink’s case.
And, a special thanks to the talented ladies who helped me with these (because goodness knows I couldn’t have come up with these on my own):
10 Brain-Building Finger Food Recipes for Baby
10 Nursery DIY Projects to Tackle in 2013
Thanks for being here. And there. And everywhere I get the chance to write!

I’ve been trying to get over here for days to comment on this one. I am totally where you are with the Facebook games. Let’s throw caution to the wind and post those links right in the status update box, shall we? We may be rebels without a reader, but rebels nonetheless 🙂
Oh, Aimee, it’s so hard. Today’s post? 45 people. 45! I’m pretty sure I know who’s winning when I don’t play the game. Sigh.
